Our philosophy shows up in everyday moments. Here's what that looks like day to day.
Messy, hands-on play
Real play means real dirt, paint and mud, so come dressed for it. And you won't see 15 identical crafts coming home, because the process matters more than the product.

Play-Based Academics
Reading, math and science grow from what children already care about. A pretend restaurant needs a sign, snack time means counting how many plates to set out, and a ramp becomes an experiment in predicting what will happen next.
Outside, rain or shine
Movement and open space are part of how children learn here, not a break from it. Mud, puddles, handmade climbing structures and nature treasures are all part of the day, in every season

The Rhythm of Our Day
Each class follows a rhythm designed to fit the developmental needs of the group, maximizing indoor and outdoor learning opportunities. While some classes start their days outside, others begin with their indoor morning provocation time. Each class shares a morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack time together.

"Prior to enrolling at Little Explorers more than four years ago, our family had tried three other preschools. Once we started at Little Explorers, the difference became immediately clear.
